Description
The Morellino di Scansano Purosangue is born in vineyards located in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, from the passion and tradition of the Terenzi family, who are able to convey these qualities through their wines.
It is made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, harvested at the end of September. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28-30°C. The wine is then aged for about 12 months in barriques, and for another 6 months in the bottle.
The Purosangue is characterized by a ruby red color. On the nose, it opens with an intense bouquet featuring notes of blackcurrant, strawberry tree, black pepper and tobacco. On the palate, it is warm, dry and astringent.
Perfect with red meats, it is ideal paired with roasts.
