Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva 2010 Robert Mondavi Winery
Description
This Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva was born in the splendid vineyards of Robert Mondavi Winery, located in Napa Valley, California.
It is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and a small quantity of Cabernet Franc grapes, harvested manually in October following a very rigorous selection method. After destemming and a maceration of about a month, the wine is placed in oak barrels to start fermentation. In the same containers, the product carries out the evolutionary process which lasts more than twenty months, to further amplify its organoleptic characteristics. Follows the bottling and a long aging in glass.
This Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva has a very intense ruby red color with purple textures. It delights the nose with a remarkable aromatic complexity, where the first fruity hints of blackberry and blueberry are followed by spicy notes of cinnamon and tobacco, with delicate sensations of sage. In the mouth it is of excellent structure, with soft tannins and a good persistent acidity, which accompanies a perfectly balanced finish, where woody notes re-emerged conferred by the barrel.
It goes very well with important and elaborate dishes such as grilled meats, stewed meats and roasts. Perfect for a formal dinner.
