Description
La Réserve de la Comtesse is the second wine of the Chtâeau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, born within the Bordeaux appellation of Pauillac, an area with a very high vocation of Médoc that extends along the left bank of the Gironde river. The soil made up of Quaternary gravel, pebbles and sand represents a paradise for viticulture for the drainage able to guarantee plants. The wine ages for 12 months in French oak barrels.
It is cloaked in the glass in a dark ruby red color. On the nose it releases a complex bouquet with notes of blackberry and cedar. In the mouth it is powerful and structured, persisting on spicy notes, black currant and tobacco.
Excellent for accompanying red meats as well as a refined platter of aged cheeses.
