Description
Peated Malts Tasting Collection is a selection of some of the finest single malt peated whiskeys produced in the world, with a degree of turbidity that varies from light to very intense.
It starts with the delicate, sweet and aromatic The Ardmore Legacy, a whiskey originating from the Scottish Highlands that presents itself with hints of heather honey and caramel, and which on the palate expresses a savory aftertaste and an excellent spicy persistence.
Connemara is one of a kind, the first and only Irish whiskey to include peat barley malt in its composition. It reveals a soft, fine and persistent whiskey, with a long lasting sweet taste that optimally balances a more pronounced peaty presence than Legacy.
Bowmore 12 Years Old is a Scottish whiskey originating from the island of Islay with an amber color and a more decisive peat character, balanced by sweet honey notes with traces of lemon zest and floral notes.
Laphroaig Select is a Scotch whiskey from Islay with a very evident but never aggressive pea mark, framing the texture of the notes of chocolate, medicinal herbs and iodine cues that come from the sea. The taste is decisive but fine, finished in a savory profile that echoes in the persistence of spices.
Try these peated in a sequential tasting so as to fully appreciate their diversity.
