Puglia IGT Tormaresca Neprica 2016 Marchesi Antinori

Puglia Tormaresca Neprica dei Marchesi Antinori comes from the vineyards of the Tormaresca farm, owned by the Antinori family and located in Puglia in the Salento and Murgia areas of Bari.

It is produced with Negroamaro, Primitivo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested and vinified separately in heat-conditioned stainless steel tanks. The grapes are left to macerate for 8 - 10 days at temperatures no higher than 26 ° C, before the malolactic fermentation process. The wine is then aged in steel for about 8 months, followed by a further 4 months in bottle.

Neprica is a ruby red wine, enriched with shades tending to violet. The nose opens with hints of red fruits and plum, including light and pleasant floral notes of violets. On the palate it is soft, with a fair and balanced acidity and a soft and round tannin. Overall it is a well structured wine.

Ideal in combination with savory first courses based on meat or vegetables, this wine is perfect to accompany red and roasted meats.
