Description
Roble by Portia is a young red wine from Ribera del Duero, made with Tempranillo grapes from the “Golden Triangle” vineyards located in the municipalities of Gumiel de Mercado and Gumiel de Izán, at an altitude between 800 and 850 meters. The sandy soils of this area, along with the contained yield, contribute to an optimal ripening of the grapes and the production of fresh and aromatic wines.
The winemaking process involves controlled fermentations in cone-shaped tanks, a technique that ensures a delicate extraction of aromas. The wine then ages for 3 months in oak barrels, a short but effective aging to enrich the structure and impart toasted nuances without losing the fruit's vivacity.
It presents a bright purple color. The aromatic profile is dominated by fresh fruits such as blackberry, red currant, and plum, enriched by floral, vanilla notes and toasted wood hues. On the palate, it is lively and well-balanced, with soft tannins, medium body, and a long finish with spicy hints, cinnamon, and toasted hazelnuts.
Ideal with grilled meats such as steaks, lamb chops, or pork loin, mushroom risottos, tapas with chorizo, and aged cheeses.
