Description
Villa Bucci's Rosso Piceno is a red wine originating from the hillside vineyards of the Castelli di Jesi, in the Marche region. The wine is made from a blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese. The vineyards, located between 250 and 280 meters above sea level, are set on clay-limestone soils.
After a 10-12 day maceration on the skins and fermentation in steel tanks, the wine matures in wood for an extended period of 18-21 months, which gives it structure, elegance, and aromatic complexity.
The color is an intense ruby red. On the nose it opens with aromas of ripe dark fruits, black cherry, sweet spices, leather, and light toasted notes. On the palate, it is full, smooth, and well-structured, with ripe tannins and a persistent finish of mature fruit and vanilla.
Ideal with hearty roasts, braised meats, or aged hard cheeses.
