Description
Villa Bucci's Rosso Piceno is an organic red wine from the hilly vineyards of the Castelli di Jesi in the Marche region. The wine is made from a blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes. The vineyards, located between 250 and 280 meters above sea level, are set on clay-limestone soils.
After macerating on the skins for 10-12 days and fermenting in steel, the wine ages in wood for an extended period of 18-21 months, giving it structure, elegance, and aromatic complexity.
The color is an intense ruby red. The nose opens with aromas of ripe black fruits, black cherry, sweet spices, leather, and light toasted notes. On the palate, it is full, smooth, and well-structured, with mature tannins and a persistent finish of ripe fruit and vanilla.
Ideal with substantial roasts, braised meats, or aged hard cheeses.
