Description

Les Roches de Yon is a red wine from Château Yon-Figeac from a 22.45 hectare vineyard in the Bordeaux area of France. The blend is composed mainly of Merlot and some Cabernet Franc. The vines have an average age of 32 years and are planted in sandy clay soil over an iron-rich layer.

The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 25 days, using traditional methods. The refinement takes place in oak barrels and vats, respecting the structure of the wine.

At sight the color appears bright and lively red. On the nose you can perceive notes of mint that add freshness to the texture of blackberry and vanilla. In the mouth after a lively attack, it evolves towards a pleasant consistency, with a good persistence.

It pairs perfectly with grilled or roasted red meat dishes, such as lamb or beef.
