Description
House Greyjoy dominates the Iron Islands and venerates the Abyssal God. Talisker could only be combined with the Greyjoy House for the harsh and remote character of the Scottish island of Skye, where this single malt is distilled. Its coasts beaten by the waves give Talisker Select Reserve its layered aromas and unmistakable marine character. This liquid is an intense smoked single malt scotch that combines spicy, powerful and sweet elements with marine scents.
The golden copper color of this Talisker is due to the use of heavily carbonized ex-Bourbon American oak barrels. The nose is unmistakably Talisker, with its known characteristics of dry peppery smoke and dark chocolate. On the nose, dry notes of Sichuan pepper smoke and dark chocolate. On the palate salted caramel and dried chilli pepper explode in the smoked and spicy notes of dried fruit, while the finish is long and complex with a persistent leather character.
It is best enjoyed straight or with a drop of water.
