Description

A blaze of colours comes alive in a vibrant mosaic, “Li Ciuri”, meaning “the flowers” in Sicilian dialect, serves as a tribute to its terroir, both in the label—which recalls the ceramics of Caltagirone—and in the name, which weaves an authentic bond with Sicily.

Nero d'Avola Li Ciuri is a wine born in Western Sicily, near Trapani. The grapes are painstakingly harvested by hand during the first ten days of September. In the winery, the grapes are destemmed and then gently crushed. This is followed by temperature-controlled maceration and an ageing period of 3 months in the bottle.

Its deep ruby-red colour gleams in the glass, with reflections veering towards purple. On the nose, it reveals subtle hints of wild blackberries, cherries, redcurrants and blueberries, seamlessly mingled with peppery notes and cloves. The palate is broad, smooth and velvety, finishing with a pleasantly persistent aftertaste.

This is the ideal wine to pair with red meat main courses and aged cheeses.
