Description

Amìra (from the Arabic amîr, prince) represents the purest essence of Butera's Nero d'Avola.

Born from 100% Nero d'Avola, with fermentation on the skins for 15 days, this wine owes its richness of aromas to the ageing in 30 and 60 hl Slavonian barrels for 1 year, followed by rest for a few months in bottle.

In the glass the juicy aromas of cherry and blueberry give way to fresher notes of violet and myrtle and pleasant balsamic hints. On the palate it is fresh and dry, with floral notes and an almond finish.

Excellent with savoury dishes, grilled meats and well-aged cheeses, with this red the prince of Sicilian native vines will steal your heart.
