Description

Spìos is a whiskey from the private editions of Glenmorangie. The first whiskey from the distillery to complete the aging process in oak barrels previously used for the aging of American rye whiskey. The name is inspired by the Scottish Gaelic term used for "spice", to indicate the prominence of the spicy notes of cinnamon and cloves taken from the same rye.

It has an amber yellow color with golden highlights. Its aroma is fresh and herbaceous, with hints of cherry, cloves and candied mint. On the palate it is bursting and exalts in the spicing of the rye. Closes on a soft, sweet and persistent finish with citrus hints.

Recommended to sip straight or with the addition of a few drops of water, but also on large ice cubes.
