Description

Vigna Maso Reiner Pinot Nero Kettmeir is a spectacular Pinot Noir obtained from the vineyards of Maso Reiner.

Obtained from a gradual controlled temperature fermentation, initially low to allow the extraction of colouring and aromatic substances from the Pinot Noir skins, this South Tyrolean red is aged in 30hl wooden barrels and barriques for 15–18 months ageing.

The ruby red colour anticipates the elegant aromas characteristic of the grape such as forest fruits, cherries and tobacco. On the palate it is dry, elegant like a silk scarf, with a persistent aftertaste and a surprisingly elegant finish with a spicy touch.

A South Tyrolean wine with character, perfect with elaborate dishes of feathered game, roasts, braised meats, legume soups and medium-aged cheeses.
