Description

The Pinot Nero Riserva from the Puntay line of excellence by Erste + Neue is obtained from grapes that thrive on the morainic hills of Mezzan, in a temperate-alpine climate and on a soil composed of clay and sand.

The grapes are pressed and left to ferment in contact with the skins. The base wine is transferred for a short period in large oak barrels and then left to refine in barrique for 15 months.

It appears in the glass with an intense ruby red colour with light garnet reflections. Elegant and refined nose, with notes of cherry accompanied by delicate hints of vanilla. In the mouth it is a wine with good structure, with lively tannins that revive a sip that closes with a long final persistence.

It is excellent with roasts and game-based preparations.
