Description

Produced in the municipality of Suvereto, in Tuscany, the Merlot I'Rennero from Gualdo del Re is obtained from vineyards cultivated on soils composed of clay, stone, and silt. Thanks to the favorable microclimate and the characteristics of the area, the wine expresses the power and elegance of this international grape variety at its best.

Winemaking involves alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in barriques. The aging takes place in new and second-use barriques for about eighteen months, followed by an additional bottle rest of at least twelve months, allowing the wine to develop complexity and finesse.

Visually, it presents an intense ruby color with violet reflections. The bouquet is rich and enveloping, with notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, and sour cherry that blend harmoniously with spicy hints of vanilla, cocoa, and nutmeg. On the palate, it is structured, harmonious, and elegant, with soft and velvety tannins and a very long taste persistence.

It pairs perfectly with Florentine steak, stewed game, and aged cheeses.
