Description
The white wine Casamatta Isola del Giglio originates from the vineyards of the renowned Fiesolan winery Bibi Graetz, located on the hills overlooking the city of Florence. It is made with Vermentino, Trebbiano, and Moscato grapes, using 95% from the current vintage and 5% from the previous harvest.
The winemaking process involves the blending of different grape varieties, as well as wines from different vintages (a sort of cuvée), which makes the product even more intriguing.
It presents a very pale straw yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose, an intense fruity aroma prevails, with notes of tropical fruit and peach merging with light floral and herbaceous scents. On the palate, it shows a light body, defined by excellent freshness and a distinctive and enticing flavor. The finish is of good persistence with returns of fruity aromas.
Perfect to pair with fish, it also pairs wonderfully with pasta dishes, vegetables, and soft cheeses.
