Description

What kind of wine it is

Chardonnay Fabrizio Bianchi by Castello Monsanto is a white wine made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes in the Barberino Val d’Elsa area. On the palate, this style stands out for its distinct smoothness and freshness, paired with a structure designed for excellent aging potential. The process involves fermentation in stainless steel and in French oak tonneaux, completed by bottle aging.

Where it comes from

This wine comes from vineyards located in the municipality of Barberino Val d’Elsa, within the Tuscany denomination. Its origin is closely linked to a territory known for characterful whites, where meticulous grape selection combines with careful cellar work. Chardonnay represents the essence of Fabrizio Bianchi's project, crafted for a high gustatory precision expression.

How it is produced

The Chardonnay grapes destined for this label are hand-harvested and selected. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature and in French oak tonneaux, where the mass remains for about seven months. A prolonged bottle refinement completes the process, essential for stabilizing the aromatic profile and ensuring balance in the flavor component.

Tasting notes

Bright straw yellow in appearance. The nose reveals an intense floral bouquet, with hints of mimosa, broom, sage, and yellow peach notes. The palate is soft and elegant, led by a pleasant freshness that supports the tasting experience and offers a balanced, clean finish.

Food pairing

Ideal for pairing with seafood first courses, this wine enhances dishes where aromas and freshness play a central role. It pairs harmoniously with grilled fish, whose delicacy is respected by the wine’s smoothness, and with fresh cheeses. A seafood stew is always a consistent choice, able to fully showcase the wine’s refined aromatic profile.

When to serve it

Enjoyable straight away, the wine boasts remarkable aging capacity that makes it suitable for further cellar evolution. It’s the ideal choice when looking for a soft wine but supported by vivid freshness, perfect for sea-inspired occasions. Thanks to balanced refinement, it offers excellent longevity and preserves its defined gustatory identity over time.
