Description
Lui di Luiano is the second Cru of Fattoria di Luiano. This wine represents an interesting combination of an autochthonous Tuscan grape variety with two international grape varieties, which underlines the company's philosophical line, placed between tradition and innovation.
It is made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Merlot and Colorino, collected and selected only by hand. After a fermentation of about 15 days at controlled temperature, the wine is left to rise for 2 years in French oak barrels. It follows an aging in bottle for at least 6 months before being released on the market.
It is characterized by a deep red color. It opens with ample aromas of red fruits, which are accompanied by elegant spicy notes of tea, coffee and vanilla sticks. In the mouth it expresses an important structure and an excellent balance, with a harmonious fruity aftertaste that accompanies towards a finish of good persistence.
It goes well with well-seasoned first courses and well-aged cheeses. Excellent also with grilled red meats and game.
