Toscana IGT Castello di Nipozzano Montesodi 2012 Frescobaldi
Description
The Rosso Rosso Montesodi Castello di Nipozzano dei Marchesi de 'Frescobaldi was born in the vineyards of the homonymous castle located in Pèlago, in the province of Florence.
It is produced with pure Sangiovese grapes, rigorously harvested by hand at the beginning of October, then fermented in stainless steel at a temperature below 35 ° C for 10 days, with a maceration that lasts for another 30 days. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine is placed in Austrian and French oak barrels for 18 months then it is refined in the bottle for about 6 months before being put on the market.
Montesodi Castello di Nipozzano is characterized by an intense ruby red color. Hints of violet and blackberry stand out on the nose, followed by toasted notes of Arabica coffee and spicy nuances of nutmeg, cloves, black pepper and licorice. In the mouth it is fresh, with a thick and thin texture and a generous body. The finish is long, dominated by fresh and fruity notes.
Perfect to accompany red meats, it is ideal in combination with the typical Florentine steak.
