Toscana IGT Sogno Mediterraneo 2017 Casadei

Sogno Mediterraneo di Casadei is a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre grapes, selected and harvested by hand in small boxes.

After a soft pressing of the grapes, the alcoholic fermentation begins, carried out partly in steel tanks and partly in terracotta amphorae, with a maceration of 16-18 days. The wine ages in French oak barrels for 12-14 months.

It is a powerful, elegant and agile wine. The nose opens with intense aromas of blackberry and black currant, accompanied by notes of dark chocolate and tobacco. Decisive and silky at the beginning, on the palate it is equally intense with sweet and soft tannins. Its finish is persistent, with hints of dark berries and sweet spices.

Suitable for tasty roasted meats, such as lamb or stewed meats. It is excellent with aged cheeses or pasta with game sauces.
