Description

Testamatta is a Tuscan red wine produced by Bibi Graetz exclusively from Sangiovese grapes sourced from historic vineyards located in some of the most renowned areas of Tuscany, including Chianti Classico and the hills around Florence; it represents a perfect synthesis between tradition and creativity, expressing with purity, elegance, and freshness the authentic character of this native grape variety.

The winemaking process involves a careful manual selection of grapes from different parcels harvested separately, followed by a second sorting in the winery and gentle pressing; fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in a combination of open barriques, steel, and wood, with manual punching down and pumping over, while aging is carried out in barrels and barriques for a prolonged period, including malolactic fermentation, to achieve balance and complexity.

On the nose, it unfolds with intense and refined aromas of fresh red fruits such as strawberry, cherry, and raspberry, accompanied by a pleasant freshness and light mineral nuances; on the palate, it is elegant and vibrant, with a balanced structure, silky tannins, and lively acidity that adds drive and long persistence.

It pairs perfectly with Tuscan cuisine, red meats, and rich, flavorful dishes.
