Description

What type of wine it is

Conti d'Arco's Trento Brut is a sparkling wine crafted using the Traditional Method, made entirely from Chardonnay grapes. The long aging in bottle delivers a restrained style marked by precision and aromatic purity. Time on the lees enriches the structure of this Brut and outlines a linear profile supported by a pleasant freshness.

Where it comes from

This sparkling wine is born among the rolling hills of the Trentino valleys, within the Trento appellation. The Chardonnay vines grow on soils of complex geology, ranging from basaltic and porphyritic bedrock to schist formations. The Alpine climate, characterized by pronounced diurnal shifts and crisp mountain air, helps to highlight the wine’s freshness and clarity, making it an authentic expression of the Trentino territory.

How it's made

The process begins with manual harvesting of the bunches, followed by gentle pressing to delicately extract the must. Refermentation takes place in bottle, as required by the rigorous Traditional Method, before a slow aging on the lees of at least twenty-four months. This crucial phase ends with disgorgement and the addition of the liqueur d’expédition, which sets the final dosage.

Tasting notes

In the glass it shows a bright pale straw-yellow hue, crossed by a fine and persistent perlage. The nose opens with clear, measured aromas, a direct expression of the time on the lees. On the palate it is harmonious and flowing, driven by a persistent acidity that prolongs the pleasure of drinking and keeps the sip taut through the finish.

Food pairing

Perfect as an elegant aperitif, it proves an ideal companion to carry you with ease through an entire meal. Its marked freshness and balanced palate pair beautifully with local dishes, such as a tasty oven-baked Alpine char or a traditional potato cake. The versatile nature of the Brut ensures an all-around pairing that enhances dishes, like classic Canederli allo speck, without ever overpowering them.

When to serve it

Ideal for a hearty, convivial Sunday lunch, for an autumn or winter dinner with friends, or to celebrate special family moments. Serve at 6-8°C, perfect as a refined aperitif, during casual get-togethers or for outdoor toasts in the milder seasons. Its freshness and vibrancy make it suitable for any occasion when you want to share an elegant, engaging wine.
