Description

Rosso L'Um is produced at the estates of the Lungarotti company in Umbria. The name underscores the connection between the company and the region, L'Um as L'Umbria of Lungarotti.

This wine is made from Sangiovese, Merlot, and other complementary grape varieties, harvested between the end of September and the beginning of October. After a short maceration and the fermentation processes carried out in steel, the must is aged for eight to ten months in barriques. It is then refined in bottles for about ten months before being marketed.

L'Um by Lungarotti shows a beautiful ruby red color and immediately offers good aromatic intensity, with notes of sour cherry, morello cherry, and brandied fruit, which blend well with spicy hints of cocoa, coffee, and vanilla, due to the wood. On the palate, it demonstrates good structure, supported by interesting freshness and harmonious tannins.

It pairs very well with creative, highly spiced dishes based on pork or lamb, excellent with a good pizza and aged or blue cheeses.
