Description

The Val d'Arno di Sopra BògginAnfora of Tenuta di Petrolo is born in vineyards located in the heart of the DOC Val d'Arno di Sopra.

It is produced with pure Sangiovese grapes, carefully picked and selected by hand. The vinification process takes place in 300 L terracotta amphorae, with maceration of the skins in the air for no more than 15 days. Subsequently, the amphora is hermetically sealed with the skins still inside and ages here for 12 months, interspersed with racking in the sixth month. The amphora guarantees micro-oxygenation conditions similar to barrique, without however giving off aromas to the wine.

Petrolo's BògginAnfora has a ruby red color. The nose opens with intense sensations of plum and berries, enriched with notes of vanilla and coffee. In the mouth it is soft and full-bodied, with a pleasantly fresh finish.

This red wine is perfect to accompany red meats and noble poultry dishes.
