Description

What kind of wine it is

The Rive di Campea from Bisol 1542 is a Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Extra Brut, made entirely from Glera grapes. It is born among the steep hills of the Rive, a setting that imparts tension and mineral finesse to the wine. Its style is dry, focused and elegant, with a fine, well-integrated effervescence. It is the most vertical and terroir-driven expression of the appellation.

Where it comes from

The grapes come from the Campea vineyard, which spans seven hectares in a single block. This particularly favored site enjoys a beneficial exposure and a strong diurnal range, elements that support the wine’s quality and expressiveness. The soils, rich in clay and sandstone, feature veins of marl and limestone that imprint the wine with its signature minerality. This specific origin precisely defines the character of the cuvée.

How it is made

Harvesting is done by hand into bins, followed by a gentle pressing of the Glera grapes. The base wine is then handled according to the Martinotti method, with a re-fermentation in autoclave that develops a fine, persistent mousse. The sugar dosage, calibrated to the Extra Brut style, remains contained and balanced, keeping the effervescence well integrated on the palate. This production path enhances the minerality and tension typical of the Campea vineyard.

Tasting notes

On the nose it offers an elegant bouquet of white flowers and citrus hints, joined by fragrant notes of apple and peach, accompanied by a light mineral touch. On the palate it is straight, vibrant and saline, dry yet harmonious, with a dry finish that lengthens gracefully. It maintains clear elegance and persistent freshness through the finish.

Food pairing

It pairs ideally with raw fish, where its salinity and freshness enhance delicacy. It also finds an excellent match with light vegetable-based dishes, which harmonize with its floral and citrus notes. It is perfect with shellfish as well, supported by the wine’s mineral tension. Its versatility makes it suitable for an entire light meal.

When to serve it

Rive di Campea is perfect as an aperitif, thanks to its immediate freshness and elegant drinkability. It also lends itself well to accompanying a whole light meal based on fish and vegetables. It is the ideal choice for convivial moments before sitting down at the table.
