Description

Carménere Max 150 Años Reserva is produced by the Chilean company Errazuriz, founded in 1870 in the Aconcagua Valley, on the northwestern side of the Andes, less than 30 km from the Pacific Ocean.

The grapes were harvested by hand early in the morning and transported to the cellar, where they were de-stemmed, crushed and fermented in steel tanks for 15-25 days. Subsequently the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.

In the glass it is ruby in color with violet reflections. It expresses itself on the nose with aromas of ripe red and black fruit, toasted notes and sweet spices. On the palate it has a medium body, soft, with silky tannins and a long persistence.

It goes well with roasted and stewed red meats, as well as with semi-aged and aged cheeses.
