Description
What kind of wine is it
Valpolicella Superiore di Colognola ai Colli is a red wine made from a blend of Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella and Croatina, crafted to express the fullness and structure typical of this style.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from selected vineyards in the Colognola ai Colli area, on the Veronese hills within the Valpolicella zone.
How it is made
Vinification involves a gentle crushing of the grapes, followed by fermentation with skin maceration for eight to ten days at controlled temperature, a process that promotes the extraction of color and structure.
Tasting notes
It shows a bright red color, tending towards garnet with evolution. On the nose it offers an enveloping profile, with subtle notes of almond and red berries. On the palate it is harmonious and balanced, with a long, persistent finish.
Food pairings
Pairs with flavorful first courses, game, roasts, grilled meats and risottos—dishes able to stand up to its structure.
When to serve it
Its structure makes it suitable for substantial meals, particularly in the colder season. It is recommended to serve it at around 16-18°C, so as to fully showcase its body and aromas.
