Description
What kind of wine is it
Alma di Maso Martis is a white wine produced in the Vigneti delle Dolomiti area from Müller Thurgau grapes. This wine stands out for its straightforward and immediate character, thanks to expert winemaking that highlights its freshness and purity. Refined in steel tanks, it preserves its varietal identity and offers a smooth, pleasant sip. It is marked by its dry nature, which communicates directly the distinctive qualities of the mountain terroir.
Where it comes from
This white originates from mountain vineyards located at eight hundred meters above sea level within the renowned Vigneti delle Dolomiti denomination. The high altitude plays a key role in granting the grapes the right tension on the palate. The Alpine environment gives the wine a natural impression of freshness that reflects the rigorous soil and climate of these elevations. The result is an essential glass defined by a distinct mineral finish.
How it is produced
The grapes are processed with a gentle pressing followed by seven hours of maceration directly in the press. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks using selected yeasts to ensure full control of the process and preservation of the original aromas. This meticulous vinification aims to preserve fermentation stability and define a clean sensory profile, resulting in a white wine with an agile texture.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it displays a clear straw yellow color, promising a bright visual profile. On the nose, it offers a clear and expressive character with fragrant aromas of white flowers and apple. The attack on the palate is dry and vibrant, with a smooth progression that balances its fruitiness. The tasting closes with a delightful mineral finish that lends excellent persistence to each sip while maintaining an overall natural lightness.
Food pairings
Its pronounced freshness makes this wine an ideal companion for elegant seafood pairings, as it brings out the best in baked or grilled fish dishes. It also pairs beautifully with white meats and subtly flavored recipes, enhancing dishes without ever overpowering them. It harmoniously accompanies classic Italian first courses such as spaghetti with clams. Its linear taste profile is also excellent with light starters and dishes of moderate structure.
When to serve it
Perfect for occasions that call for an inviting and refreshing glass, this white wine excels when served as a chilled aperitif. Its innate aromatic elegance makes it a brilliant choice for convivial lunches and carefully prepared dinners with a relaxing atmosphere. The balance between immediacy and precision superbly accompanies moments of sharing, ensuring consistently pleasant drinkability in the glass. It is the perfect option for those who appreciate clear and satisfying wines.
