Description
The Chardonnay La Petite Montagne by Pierre Girardin is produced from a single 0.6 ha parcel located at 450 m elevation in the village of Vincelles, in the Côtes du Jura area. The vines, over 80 years old, include 40% ungrafted vines and are grown on a clay and limestone-rich terroir, which recalls the typical minerality of Puligny.
Vinification takes place with indigenous yeasts and fermentation in oak barrels, 50% of which are new. Aging continues in the same barrels and the wine is bottled without fining or filtration, preserving its natural and territorial characteristics intact.
On the nose it expresses elegance with notes of flint, citrus fruits, and light boisée hints. The palate is vibrant and layered, with pronounced minerality, fine texture, and a balance between acidity and depth that lengthens the wine’s finish.
It pairs beautifully with refined grilled fish dishes or grilled white meats.
