Description

What kind of wine it is

Guerriero del Mare by Guerrieri is a white wine from the Marche made with Bianchello grapes, an indigenous variety grown in the province of Pesaro e Urbino. This wine stands out for its well-defined aromatic profile and for vinification in wooden barrels, a technique partly employed during fermentation and for aging lasting about one year. The result in the glass offers a perfect balance between pronounced freshness and roundness, traits that shape a technically precise white wine.

Where it comes from

This wine is born within the Guerrieri estate, a historic operation located in the Marche that for many generations has devoted itself to wine production, as well as to the cultivation of cereals and olive trees. The vineyards are in the province of Pesaro e Urbino. In this specific area, Bianchello best expresses its varietal identity and gives life to a linear, clean white strongly tied to its place of origin.

How it is made

The production process of Guerriero del Mare relies exclusively on Bianchello grapes and features a targeted use of the wooden barrel. This vessel plays a role both during fermentation and in the subsequent one-year aging period. This oenological choice enriches the wine’s structure and broadens its aromatic spectrum, while preserving the vibrancy of the variety. Work in the cellar is carried out to maintain maximum stylistic consistency and to enhance the quality of the raw material.

Tasting notes

At serving, the wine shows an intense straw-yellow color and striking brightness. The nose reveals floral and herbal aromas of lily of the valley and tea leaves, followed by clear fruity notes of peach and lychee. On the palate, the sip is fresh, smooth, and round, confirming the sensations perceived on the nose. The tasting concludes with excellent persistence, leaving a pleasantly balanced sensation in the mouth.

What it pairs with

The versatility of this white wine makes it the ideal partner for warm appetizers and first courses with bold sauces. Thanks to its structure and freshness, it pairs beautifully with flavorful seafood cuisine, accompanying dishes without ever overpowering them. Staying true to regional gastronomic tradition, the pairing of choice is Brodetto di pesce marchigiano, in particular the recipe for Brodetto alla fanese, which enhances the wine’s aromatic notes.

When to serve it

This white from the Marche is perfect for convivial lunches and dinners, especially when you want to share a Mediterranean-inspired meal in good company. Ideal for a table rich in seafood dishes, it is also well suited to be served during a Sunday lunch with a generous, convivial spirit. Serve it to highlight its freshness and roundness, on informal occasions, outdoors, or as a refined aperitif.
