The maison Godart & Fils was established in 1948 by Paul and his two younger brothers André and Jean. After spending 23 years working at the Moët et Chandon cellar, it was Paul who initiated wine production at the family-owned company, now run by his son François in collaboration with the enologist Laurie Marteau.
The company is RM (Récoltant manipulant) and Vigneron Indépendant, designations also found on the label, meaning it is the winegrower who produces and markets Champagne under their own label, using grapes exclusively from their own vineyards and vinified in their own cellars.
These are fundamental points of the company, which wishes to fully leave its mark on the Champagnes produced. The vineyards span 6.3 hectares across the crus of Moussy, Pierry, Chavot, Vinay, and Bergères les Vertus. All this is to allow Godart wines to develop a character of elegance, freshness, and vitality.
Examples include the Champagne Brut 1er Cru Le Moymer with its fine and persistent perlage and hints of citrus and slightly herbaceous notes, or the Champagne Brut Blanc de Noirs Aladiah with its aromas of berries, blackberry, strawberry, and blackcurrant and delicate spicy notes.
We invite you to discover them all! Today and while stocks last, for every 4 bottles of Champagne Godart & Fils, you will receive a complimentary elegant ice bucket.
