Château Pavie Macquin
Château Pavie Macquin is a Premier Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion, on Bordeaux’s Right Bank. Its history is tied to Albert Macquin (1852–1911), a key figure in the viticulture of Saint-Émilion, who from 1887 acquired the estates La Serre, Peygenestou, Pavie-Chapus and Pavie-Pigasse, bringing together around 26 hectares.
The vineyard lies on a plateau next to the Butte de Mondot, on the edge of the Fongaban fault, between 75 and 100 meters above sea level. It forms a single contiguous block, surrounded by three Premiers Grands Crus Classés, on clay-limestone soils.
Power, freshness and elegance are the hallmarks of the wines of Château Pavie Macquin, expressing the complexity of an exceptional terroir and a constant pursuit of balance and excellence.
