The Novacella Abbey is a place full of charm and history. We are located in Bressanone, in the Isarco Valley, where the monks of Sant'Agostino have been producing wine since 1142. Led by Urban von Klebelsberg, and thanks to the great oenologist Celestino Lucin, Abbazia di Novacella was one of the protagonists of the enological renaissance of the Alto Adige in the early 1980s. An intense restructuring of the cellar and the vineyards has allowed the creation of fresh, nervous and fragrant wines, of clear elegance , focusing on low yields and the identification of the most suitable grape variety for each plot.

Among the blends that have given the best results there are undoubtedly Kerner, Sylvaner, Grüner Vetliner, Sauvignon and Gewürztraminer, which find their maximum expression in the Praepositus line, a selection of the best "crus" of the Alto Adige Valle Isarco.
