"Cultivating nature as a life habitat": it is with these words that the Alto Adige winery tells its own philosophy of life, based on respect for nature and on the principles of biodynamic agriculture. The Alois Lageder wine estate today cultivates 50 hectares of family-owned vineyards in South Tyrol. The holistic approach is the cornerstone of this philosophy, of their ambition to spread awareness for a more natural and sustainable agriculture. The history of the company began way back in 1823, when Johann Lageder began trading wines in Bolzano. His descendants, including his great-grandson Alois III, begin to buy vineyards and produce wine. The Löwengang di Magrè estate, in the southern part of South Tyrol, becomes the center of the company. Today Alois Lageder is among the eight international personalities from the world of wine who were awarded prizes during the 17th edition of the "Oscars of wine", an important event organized by Der Feinschmecker magazine.

Their wines recount this diversity of South Tyrol, with the cultivation of classic vines to bring out the complexity of the territory in the best possible way, highlighting the differences and peculiarities of one of the most suitable terroirs in the world. The Classici are happy examples , mono-varietal wines that reflect the characteristics of the grape variety in the area; the Composizioni, wines of great character that enhance the differences and peculiarities of the vineyards from which they are born; the Masterpieces, excellent wines with attention to the smallest detail, including the wines born on the Löwengang farm, repeatedly awarded the Tre Bicchieri dal Gambero Rosso, represent their maximum expression.
