Blanc de Blancs Champagnes are a type of Champagne, produced exclusively from white grapes such as Chardonnay, the most important white grape of the Champagne region. Instead, we start with black grapes for the Blanc de Noirs, in which Pinot Noir is mainly used.

In Champagne, Blanc de Blancs come mainly from the Côte des Blancs , from the Crus of Avize, Cramant, Oger, Mesnil-sur-Oger, Chardonnay reaches very high quality levels and creates some of the most famous Champagnes.

Champagne Blanc de Blancs are refined and mineral sparkling wines , whose liveliness teases the palate. They have a light structure and scents and aromas reminiscent of flint or shells, white flowers such as hawthorn, acacia and jasmine. They remind us of citrus fruits and exotic fruits, from lemon and grapefruit to litchi and pineapple, often enriched with spicy notes of anise and ginger. With aging, the aromas of pastry and bread crust, brioche and shortcrust pastry can be added to the aromas.

The Maisons that produce some of the most famous Blanc de Blancs are Krug, Ruinart, Perrier-Jouët or Taittinger . You can find these and many other Maisons in the excellent selection of Champagne Blanc de Blancs on Vino.com.
