Spanish wines are among the most appreciated internationally, thanks to an extraordinary variety of terroirs and a winemaking tradition that dates back centuries. The main denominations include Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Priorat, and Rías Baixas, each characterized by unique grape varieties and styles. In Rioja, elegant and complex reds prevail, mainly produced with the Tempranillo grape, often aged in oak barrels that impart spicy and vanilla notes. The Ribera del Duero is famous for intense and structured red wines, also based on Tempranillo, locally known as Tinto Fino.

The Priorat region in Catalonia produces powerful and mineral wines, often made from Garnacha and Cariñena grown on schist soils. From Galicia, come the fresh and aromatic whites of Rías Baixas, based on Albariño, ideal with fish and seafood dishes. Other renowned areas include Jerez, home to the famous fortified Sherry wines, and the Cava region, dedicated to the production of sparkling wines using the traditional classic method. Spain thus offers a mosaic of wines ranging from robust, long-lived reds to fresh and lively whites, making it one of the richest and most fascinating winemaking realities in the world.
