Riesling

Aromatic grape originating in Germany, Riesling is considered by wine enthusiasts and critics to be the most prized white grape variety in the world. The vine in fact gives rise to a wine with an extraordinary aromatic set with hints of peach, apricot and varietal aromas of hydrocarbons, characterized by a marked freshness, which makes it one of the white wines with the greatest potential for aging. Among fans it is perhaps the most sought after and the most elitist, for its unmistakable organoleptic qualities.

The spiritual home of Riesling is the region between the Rhine and the lower Moselle, which includes the denominations Mosel, Rheingau and Pfalz. Another important production area is located in Alsace, a French region bordered by the western bank of the Rhine. In Italy the most suitable production areas are those of Oltrepò Pavese from which light and fragrant wines are obtained, especially sparkling wines, but especially in Trentino Alto Adige (in particular in the Isarco Valley and Venosta Valley).
