Description

François Mikulski's Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune is a Chardonnay from two distinct vineyards. The parcels are located near Nolay, which contributes two-thirds to the production, and Meloisey, which provides the remaining third. This appellation expresses the fresher, more authentic character of the Côtes de Beaune highlands.

The soil is clay-limestone, able to retain moisture and provide a good mineral base for the wine. The altitude and ventilation in these areas encourage slow grape ripening, lending the wine aromatic brightness and balance.

The nose is delicate, with hints of white-fleshed fruit, citrus, and light floral nuances. On the palate, it is fresh, linear, and dynamic, with a mineral note accompanying a crisp, clean finish, making it a highly drinkable Chardonnay that perfectly reflects its terroir.

Ideal with seafood starters, fresh cheeses, or grilled vegetables.
