Alto Adige DOC Spigel Lagrein 2013 Cantina Caldaro

Lagrein Spigel was born in the Kellerei Kaltern vineyards, located in the heart of South Tyrol. This wine is part of the Trentino company's selection line.

Made entirely with Lagrein grapes, harvested manually from the first week of September. After the classic red vinification processes, with maceration at 28 ° C, the wine is left to rise for 12 months in French oak barriques. Finally, it undergoes a light filtration before being bottled.

The Lagrein Spigel by Kellerei Kaltern is characterized by a ruby red color, with soft purple reflections. The nose offers very fine aromas of small red fruits, elegantly adorned with chocolate notes. In the mouth it shows smooth tannins and a good freshness.

Interesting the combination with medium-aged cheeses, finds its maximum expression if combined with roasts, game or red meat not too rare.
