Description
What kind of wine it is
Produttori del Barbaresco's Barbaresco is a structured red wine made from Nebbiolo grapes. This label stands out for its well-defined technical approach, able to enhance the natural qualities of the grape variety with precision. The careful processing results in a strong character profile, supported by powerful tannins and a solid texture. It is a classic expression, meant to offer a sip rich in the typical nuances of ripe red fruit.
Where it comes from
This red is born in the Barbaresco area and comes to life from the work of about fifty contributing members. The cooperative winery Produttori del Barbaresco represents a virtuous model, bringing together all the optimal processes to highlight the quality of its raw materials. The deep connection with the land forms the foundation of the project, ensuring careful vineyard management and a rigorous respect for the quality of the grapes delivered.
How it is produced
The process begins with fermentation of the must in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28°C. The extraction phase features a thirty-day maceration on the skins, which is essential for imparting tannic strength. Once malolactic fermentation is complete, the wine matures for twenty-four months in oak barrels, a path aimed at integrating the polyphenolic structure to maintain a clear varietal expression.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it shows an intense ruby red color, a direct result of the prolonged extraction. The bouquet opens with clear aromas of ripe red fruit, including notes of currant, raspberry, and blueberry. On the palate, it reveals a full body and precise balance, supported by a vigorous tannic weave and substantial structure, which extends the finish in a compact way.
Food pairings
At the table, it expresses its potential when paired with rich dishes such as egg pasta and red meat main courses. The pronounced tannic profile and structural solidity of the wine call for dishes capable of matching its intensity. It also pairs well with medium-aged cheeses, thanks to its natural richness that goes well with concentrated textures and flavors.
When to serve it
It is the ideal choice for a full meal when you are looking for a wine with a bold character and great structure. It shines during lunches and convivial dinners with meat-based menus. The best time for tasting is when the gastronomic pairing is right, so that the strength and intensity of each sip can be fully appreciated.
