Barbera d'Asti DOCG Superiore NIzza Prunotto Costamiòle 2011 Marchesi Antinori
Description
Barbera d'Asti Superiore Nizza Costamiòle was born in the vineyard of the same name, located in the Prunotto estate of the Marchesi Antinori, in the Asti municipality of Agliano Terme, in Piedmont.
It is produced with 100% Barbera grapes, carefully picked and selected by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, at a controlled temperature of 30 ° C for 15 days. After malolactic fermentation, carried out in new French Alllier oak barriques, the wine ages for 12 months in the same containers and for another 12 months in bottle before being placed on the market.
The Costamiòle of Antinori has a garnet red color, with purple and black reflections. The nose opens with a large bouquet of plum and cherry, enriched with hints of violet, cinnamon, cocoa and leather. In the mouth it is dense and enveloping, with well integrated soft tannins.
Ideal to combine with roasted meat and game, it is perfect to accompany aged cheeses.
