Description

The Barolo Cannubi Riserva from the L'Astemia Pentita company originates from one of the most prestigious positions in the Langhe region, the hill of Cannubi, recognized as an Additional Geographical Mention. Here, on unique soils derived from Tortonian and Helvetian origins, Nebbiolo finds ideal conditions to express elegance, depth, and complexity, resulting in a Barolo of rare finesse.

The vinification involves a long maceration of 30-35 days, followed by aging for 36 months in barrel and an additional 24 months in bottle. This extended process allows the development of a complex aromatic profile and a structure capable of supporting great aging potential.

It presents a bright red color with garnet reflections. The nose is broad and layered, with aromas of ripe fruit such as blackberries and blueberries, enriched by elegant spicy and balsamic notes, hints of dried rose, tobacco, and licorice. On the palate, it is full-bodied, enveloping, and endowed with well-integrated mature tannins, with a harmony that amplifies after a few minutes of oxygenation.

Ideal with dishes based on braised meat or stewed game.
