Description
Barolo Villero from the Boroli winery is produced in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto, obtained from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the eponymous Villero vineyard located at an altitude of about 280 meters. The calcareous-clay soils with the presence of marl contribute to giving the wine structure, elegance, and a distinct territorial identity.
Vinification is carried out with separate processing of the different plots, followed by fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature and prolonged submerged cap maceration. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures in large oak barrels for a long period and then in bottle, developing complexity and finesse.
It shows a bright red color with slight copper reflections. The nose offers floral and fruity aromas with notes of violet, ripe red fruits, and a hint of licorice on a mineral background. On the palate, it is precise and fresh, with an excellent balance between elegance and structure, supported by an enveloping tannic texture and lively acidity.
It pairs perfectly with red meats, roasts, game, and aged cheeses.
