Torgiano DOC Torre di Giano Bianco Vigna il Pino 2011 Lungarotti
Description
The Bianco di Torgiano Vigna il Pino comes from the Lungarotti vineyard of the same name, located on the middle slope of the Brufa hill, near the splendid medieval village of Torgiano.
This wine is made with Trebbiano, Vermentino and Grachetto grapes, harvested and selected manually in the first two weeks of September. After a cryomaceration process, 30% of the must must ferments in barriques for three months while the remaining 70% is placed in steel. After assembly, this wine ages for at least three years in the bottle.
The Bianco di Torgiano Vigna il Pino is characterized by a straw yellow color with bright greenish reflections. The long aging in glass enhances its aromas, with notes of fruit salad, yellow peach and citrus fruits that intersect with a delicate and refined floral scent. In the mouth it enters very elegantly, offering fresh citrus aromas and a very pleasant mineral note at the end.
Perfect with light fish and shellfish dishes, also excellent with first courses with lobster and molluscs.
