Description
El Castro de Valtuille Godello is a white wine born from the union of three plots located in different areas of Valtuille, with sandy, clay soils rich in stones. The vines, about 35 years old, express in the bottle the balance between freshness and minerality typical of the Godello variety grown in this territory. The combination of the microclimates of the parcels contributes to the wine's aromatic complexity.
After manual harvesting in a single day, the grapes are destemmed and pressed, with the must left to settle cold for 24 hours. Subsequently, it is racked into oak barrels where spontaneous fermentation and aging take place for a whole year. The wine is bottled a few days before the following harvest.
This Godello stands out for its elegant bouquet of citrus fruits, white flowers, aromatic herbs, and light notes of wood. On the palate, it is fresh, balanced, and enveloping, with a persistent finish and a pronounced mineral streak reflecting the character of the original soils.
Excellent with fish dishes, shellfish, or soft fresh cheeses.
