Boca DOC 2013 Vallana
Description
Boca di Vallana is a rare wine that was born in the homonymous village of Boca, east of the Sesia river, in the heart of Upper Piedmont.
It is mainly produced with Nebbiolo grapes and with Vespolina and Uva Rara grapes, harvested separately by hand according to the time of ripening. The must ferments in large concrete vats, with aging in medium-large oak barrels for 24 months and for further 12-24 months in bottle.
Ruby red in color, with light garnet hues, Boca di Vallano opens to the nose with spicy and fruity hints in perfect harmony. On the palate it is silky and dry, with a persistent extension.
Recommended with roasted white and red meat, it goes wonderfully with aged cheeses.
