Description

Garzaia is a prestigious red wine produced by the historic Ruffino winery, originating from the renowned Bolgheri area, one of the most celebrated wine regions in Tuscany. Made from Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes grown in vineyards along the Tyrrhenian coast, characterized by rich soils and a climate tempered by sea breezes, it boasts an elegant and contemporary style. This wine is a refined expression of its territorial identity, developed under the guidance of winemaker Olga Fusari, with the aim of enhancing the unique character of the La Garzaia estate.

Vinification involves the careful selection of grapes and a controlled fermentation process that preserves the wine’s aromatic purity and structure. The process continues with aging in wood, designed to enhance complexity without overpowering the fruit, followed by further bottle aging to achieve balance and harmony. Attention to detail at every stage ensures a result of great finesse and stylistic consistency.

In the glass, it boasts an intense, deep red color. The aromatic profile is broad and layered, with notes of ripe red and black fruits, complemented by spicy hints, balsamic nuances, and subtle toasted notes. On the palate it is structured and elegant, with silky, well-integrated tannins, good freshness, and a long, persistent finish that echoes the aromatic sensations.

It pairs perfectly with red meats, game, and rich dishes from the Italian culinary tradition.
