Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Vigna Vecchia 2009 Le Ragnaie

The Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Vecchia of the Le Ragnaie winery comes from vineyards located on the Lume Spento pass, which is the highest point in the entire Montalcino area.

It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. Fermentation takes place in cement tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C for 40 days. Subsequently the wine ages in barrique for 36 months before being bottled.

The Vigna Vecchia is characterized by a bright ruby red color. The nose opens with an elegant bouquet of red fruits, enriched with pleasant spicy notes of nutmeg, bay leaf and eucalyptus. On the palate it is pleasantly warm and elegant, with a delicate balsamic finish.

Perfect to accompany dishes with meat sauce and risotto, it is ideal in combination with game, stews and roasts.
