Description

The Brunello di Montalcino Aminta di Checchi is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes grown in Montalcino, in the Castelnuovo dell’Abate area, in the Pian Bossolino, Caselle and Cantina vineyards, situated at an altitude between 395 and 415 meters. The soils are predominantly characterized by Pietraforte, consisting of sand and silt cemented by calcium carbonate, and by the Formazione di Sillano, with marls and fine galestro limestone.

After the vinification of the Sangiovese grapes, the wine undergoes a long maturation process that includes two years in oak, followed by a further year of bottle ageing, a period that favors the integration of the aromatic and structural components.

In the glass it shows the typical ruby-red color of Brunello di Montalcino. The bouquet offers hints of ripe red fruit, floral and spicy nuances, accompanied by elegant developed notes; on the palate it shows structure, freshness and well-defined tannins, with a harmonious palate and a persistent finish.

It pairs particularly well with roasts, braises, game, red meats, aged cheeses, and flavorful dishes of Tuscan cuisine.
