Description

Brunello di Montalcino Poggio al Granchio di Val di Suga comes from vineyards located in the Sienese municipality of Montalcino, in Tuscany.

It is produced with 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages for 30 months in new French oak barrels and for a further 18 months in bottle, before being marketed.

This Brunello di Montalcino has a ruby red color with a garnet nail. The nose opens with fruity hints of morello cherry, blackberry and black currant, enriched with pleasant notes of tobacco, licorice, leather and incense. On the palate it is warm and full-bodied, with strong tannins that accompany towards a finish of excellent persistence.

Perfect to accompany important red meat dishes and stewed meats, it is ideal in combination with game.
